Introduction to CT Colonography Course (CTC) accredited by Agored Cymru 

  • Principles of CT Physics 
  • Anatomy & Physiology 
  • Patient Preparation 
  • Safe Insufflation Techniques 
  • Image Interpretation 

This course has been designed following endorsement by Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) to provide training to CT Radiographers within NHS Wales to further their knowledge of CTC in CT Physics, Anatomy & Physiology, Patient Preparation, Safe Insufflation Techniques and Image Interpretation. 

This Introduction to CT Colonography course module will suit radiographers with either a special interest in CTC or who regularly undertake CTC’s within their departments. The course will provide evidence of competency mapped to the SCoR National Best Practice Guidelines for the CT Colonography Service and is accredited to Level 6 by Agored Cymru. Agored Cymru provide qualifications which are widely recognised, valued and respected by employers and are developed in partnership with a wide range of organisations. They meet regulatory requirements, are aligned to the respective frameworks and meet national education priorities. 

Fully qualified CTC/GI & Reporting Advanced Practice Radiographers will provide a blended training structure delivering the module through e-learning, virtual classrooms & clinical mentorship. Internal assessments will be undertaken within departments by Agored Cymru trained Radiographer assessors.
