Brecon Beacons

If you enjoy making the most of the great outdoors, you’ll simply love the Brecon Beacons. Located just over an hour’s drive from the Academy, the National Park is a stunning location where you can take in the spectacular scenery whilst getting active.

Covering 520 square miles – roughly the same area as the London underground system – the Beacons include four mountain ranges and is a place for the adventurous to head. It has something for everyone - walkers, runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, horse riders and wildlife-watchers.

If, however, you don’t fancy getting the adrenaline pumping then why not pay the area’s beautiful towns a visit or simply relax in one of it’s many pubs and Michelin-star restaurants.
